Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are your services harmful to children or pets?

We do not use any harmful chemicals or pesticides.

We also practice humane trapping methods and we utilize protective covers to ensure the safety of your children and pets.

Moles in my lawn seem to come and go, why should I remove them?
Although moles are very beneficial to the environment, when moles become a nuisance they should be removed as quickly as possible. Other animals will use mole tunnels, such as mice and chipmunks, leading to more problems. By removing the moles as soon as possible you can keep the mole tunnel system from growing larger and extending to all areas of the lawn. Mole control is more difficult the longer moles are allowed to tunnel.
Are most animal control services expensive?
Some animal control services are very expensive.
At Minnesota Mole we specialize in mole control, allowing us to provide you with the most affordable price and the best service possible.
What type of payment options do you offer?
We accept checks or you have the convenient option of paying on line with most major credit cards.
Do ultrasonic devices and other home remedies really work?
No, ultrasonic devices, Castor oil, chewing gum, hair, mole pellets smoke bombs and all the other gimmicks have not been proven to work. Moles follow moisture and their food source, allowing some credibility to these gimmicks. Since moles seem to be in one spot one day and gone the next. Humane trapping is the only proven method of mole control.
Do moles hibernate?
No, moles do not hibernate. During the cold winter months, moles move to their deep permanent tunnels. Removal of moles in the fall season helps prevent the deep permanent tunnel system from growing larger. Fall season trapping also helps eliminate early spring mating with other moles. (See Photo Gallery pictures of winter season moles digging deep permanent tunnels).
